Caleres – Material Handling Storage & Sortation Project

Ziglift Material Handling in collaboration with Lafayette Engineering completed a 600,000 sqft. fulfillment center for Caleres. Caleres is the home of today's most coveted footwear brands such as Famous Footwear, Sam Edelman, Dr.Scholls, and other named brands. The new fulfillment center included over 27,000 pallet positions of pallet storage and over 12,000 pick-level locations. Caleres output of orders and picking has increased drastically to stay up with high demands of the orders with the help of VNA application for Turret Trucks and Order pickers and a combination of automation featuring a new order fulfillment conveyor system and customized sorter system.
